Melbu Hotell is ideally located in Melbu, between Lofoten and Vesterålen. The many varied mountain walks on Hadseløya are close by. We are happy to recommend routes with beautiful views and a welcome sense of peace.
The hotel works with several activity providers, with Melbu serving as a starting point for organised tours throughout the year.

Møysalen – Design double room
Rooms inspired by hiking and Mount Møysalen.
Standard double room with a small balcony
Comfortable northern lights-themed rooms with a small balcony and limited views towards Hadselfjorden and Austvågøya.
Double Room XL
Rooms in various sizes and layouts, with northern lights and hiking themes. Most can accommodate an extra bed.
Standard triple room
A spacious room of approximately 23 m², with two of its three beds on a raised platform. Ideal for families with children.
Single room
A moderately sized single room with a desk, TV, kettle and private bathroom with shower. The room has a northern lights theme and is ideal if a view is not your priority.
Double room budget
Smaller double rooms with recently renovated rooms and bathrooms, offering the same facilities as a standard double room.

Our region is known for high-quality fish and lamb.
The water temperature is ideal for cod, which arrive in large numbers each year to spawn. These migratory cod, known as skrei, are the basis of countless cod dishes.
Salmon from Nordlaks, based on Hadseløya, was named “best in test” by TV2’s Matkontrollen. Water quality and temperature help explain its quality.
Lambs in Vesterålen graze on grass regularly sprayed by sea water. This contributes to high-quality meat with a distinctive flavour.
Our restaurant serves predominantly locally sourced food that reflects our region.
